CM Capt. Amarinder greets people on Pargat Utsav of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji

Chandigarh, 4 October(Wishav Warta): Chief Minister of Punjab Capt. Amarinder Singh has extended his greetings to the people of Punjab on the auspicious occasion of Pargat Divas of ‘Karuna Sagar’ Bhagwan Valmiki ji.

In a message, the Chief Minister hailed Bhagwan Valmiki Ji as the “Pitaamah” of Sanskrit language and the world’d first poet, or the Adi Kavi, who, with his immortal and masterpiece composition – the “Ramayana” – had propagated the message of the victory of good over evil.

The great epic scripted by Bhagwan Valmiki had been teaching humanity the true and ethical way of living for centuries, said the Chief Minister.

He said that the teachings of Lord Valmiki promoted the ideals of equality, underlining the attributes of an ideal man and an ideal ruler that ideal people should follow for the creation of an ideal state or society.

Exhorting the people to follow the path and high ideals shown by Bhagwan Valmiki in order to carve out an egalitarian society, the Chief Minister urged them to celebrate this sacred occasion in a spirit of amity and brotherhood.
