CHANDIGARH,10 APRIL (WISHAV WARTA) On 9 April a case FIR No. 56 U/S 457,380 IPC PS Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh has been registered in Police station Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. The brief facts of the case are that complainant Pardeep Kumar S/o Balwinder Pal R/o Vill. Jiojulahi, Distt. Gurdaspur PB. reported that he is running a wine shop at Booth No. 30, Mauli Complex under the name of ‘Vend-87’. He further stated that on 22.03.20, due to lockdown in Chandigarh, he went to his native village in Distt. Gurdaspur PB after closing his wine shop. On 09.04.20 he received a telephonic massage that the back side wall of his wine shop has been broken bysome unknown person. On this information, he came to Chandigarh from Gurdaspur and found that the back side wall of his wine shop was broken and 267 boxes of whisky of different brands along with one LCD make Samsung, 1 DVR, 1 Camara and 1 Exide battery found stolen.
During the course of investigation, a secret information was received that 3
persons involved in the incident are roaming in the area of PS Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. On this information, a special team consists of 1 NGO, 3 ORs under the close supervision of
SHO PS Mauli Jagran was constituted and a naka near Peer Mazar, near Nirankari Bhawan,
MJ was laid. The police party of police station Mauli Jagran achieved the success by
arresting 3 accused namely Pintu S/o Ravinder R/o # 1374, Rajiv Colony, Sec-17,
Panchkula HR Age-19 yrs., Dadan S/o Ram Sumer R/o # 1517, Vikas Nagar, MJ,
Chandigarh Age-19 yrs. and Gazab Singh S/o Ram Singh R/o # 1873, Rajiv Colony, Sec-17,
Panchkula HR Age-19 yrs. During the interrogation of the accused persons, it came to light
that total 5 persons were involved in the incident. During further interrogation, below
mentioned liquor has been recovered from their possession.

3. Old Monk – 1 box
4. Vodka – 1 Box
5. King Gold – 7 boxes
6. Kingfisher Beer – 10 boxes
7. Santra (Country made wine) – 10 boxes
8. 24 bottles whisky of different brands
Further, sincere efforts are being made to arrest the remaining co-accused
and more recoveries are likely to be expected. It is pertinent to mention here that all the
above said criminals also found involved in other criminal cases. All accused persons will be
produced before the Hon’ble court tomorrow i.e 11.04.20.
