Chandigarh / Mohali, August 08, 2020 (wishavwarta):-Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh will hold a ‘Virtual Meet’ with top industrialists and thinkers on August 11, 2020. The issue will be how to get the Corona epidemic-hit economy back on track.
Two separate sessions have been arranged for this virtual meet being organized on the initiative of Chandigarh University in collaboration with the Punjab Government. During the first session the eminent industrialists of the country would present their views on the subject and during the second session the representatives of the industry would brief the Hon’ble Chief Minister about the first session. Meanwhile, the industry leaders would have the opportunity to present their views on the development of the economy to the Hon’ble Chief Minister.
The first session (Opinions of Industrialists) will be held from 11:30 am to 1 pm while the second session (Presentation of Industrialists and discussions with the Chief Minister) will be held from 2 to 3 pm.
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of Chandigarh University said that the global epidemic of Kovid-19 has adversely affected the economies of all the countries globally while its adverse effects have also been seen on the economy of the country. The priority of the governments now is to revive the affected economy first and the governments are giving priority to it at large.
With this in mind, the Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh would liaise directly with some of the top industrialists of the country to get their suggestions and ideas for revival of industry and industrial enterprises in the post-Covid period.
In this Industrial and Academic Virtual Meet, the Chief Minister will exchange views on the revival of the economy affected by the Corona Crisis and also listen to the views of the leaders of the industrial establishments. It may be recalled that the spokesperson said that Chandigarh University has cordially invited the Gharuans to be a part of this important ‘Virtual Meet’.
