Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has extended his greetings to the people, especially the Sikh community, on the birth anniversary of Bhai Sahib Singh, one of the Panj Piares (Five Beloved) of the Tenth Sikh Master Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
In his message, Capt. Amarinder Singh said that Bhai Sahib Singh was immortalised in Sikh history when he offered his Sis (head) to Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji on the creation of Khalsa Panth. He further said that the martyrdom of Bhai Sahib Singh, born in Bidar (Karnataka), further strengthened the foundation of Khalsa Panth.
He described Bhai Sahib Singh as an embodiment of utmost devotion, service and meditation, who spent his entire life as an implicit servitor of Guru Ghar (House of Master). The Chief Minister said that the life of Bhai Sahib Singh would always act as a beacon of light for all those who were fighting against tyranny, oppression and injustice in the society.
