Chandigarh, April 9( Wishavwarta)-The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab has appealed to Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh that his Government should immediately implement the 5-T formula adopted by the Kejriwal government in Delhi to stamp out the deadly corona epidemic holding the entire world to ransom.
In a joint statement issued from party headquarters, chief spokesperson and MLA, Baljinder Kaur, Deputy Leader of Opposition (Dy LoP) Bibi Sarabjit Kaur Manuke and MLA Rupinder Kaur Ruby, said the Kejriwal government’s 5-T model could prove to be very effective against the deadly coronavirus, adding that Punjab government should immediately implement the Delhi model in Punjab without going into political nitty-gritty.
Prof. Baljinder Kaur said that the new-found formula 5-T stood for Testing, Tracing, Treatment, Teamwork and Tracking and Monitoring et al implying that immediate test of those infected with the virus and the persons he/she contacted after being infected, followed by his/her timely and safe treatment for Covid-19, close coordination with each other in the team and, to top it all, proper monitoring by the government was a priority. She said that under the 5-T program, the idea was to reach out to the last coronavirus infected person and brought him/her under treatment at the right point in time.
Bibi Sarabjit Kaur Manuke on the occasion said that in order to defeat the deadly Corona epidemic, while everyone was required to stay three steps ahead of Corona, there was an urgent need to provide the frontline corona warriors, including doctors, nurses, para medical staff, police and security personnel who were fighting from ground zero needed to be provided with the bulk supply of PPEs, safety kits and other equipment.
AAP legislator Rupinder Kaur Ruby said the Kejriwal government in Delhi, like the German government, was paying greater heed to testing of patients, saying when a person with slightest symptoms of the virus appear, patient should have a thorough testing (examination) facilities, the infection could not spread any further, adding that the Captain’s Government should order large-scale testing facilities in the rural and urban pockets of the state, allocating special budgetary provisions and utilising the services of private laboratories to the maximum.
