Amritsar: In a unison voice, the local Bhartiya Janata Party leaders today discussed the strategy to take the people-friendly policies of the Centre’s Modi government to the masses as they blamed Congress’s Captain Amarinder Singh led government in Punjab for failing to fulfill the polls promises. The leaders including BJP Rajya Sabha MP Shawet Malik, BJP national general secretary Tarun Chug, former Minister Anil Joshi today met at the residence of state executive member Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina under the headship of district chief Rajesh Honey.
The BJP leaders said that Modi government has taken various pro-poor decisions and has put the country’s economy on progressive track. They said that the neglected section of the society had been taken care of through the Jan Dhan Yojna, Swachh Bharat, Universal Insurance cover `Modicare’, housing facilities for the poor and education for the girl child policies initiated by Modi government. They exhorted the party workers to get ready for the next year general Lok Sabha polls and apprise the people about these policies.
Chugh said it is for the first time that India’s stature has grown world over and PM Narendra Modi has undertaken the well-balanced foreign policy that has given India and edge in the world politics. Malik said India will emerge as super power I the coming times. RMS Chhina meanwhile accused Captain government for not making the best use of the central funds being released by the Modi government. “The state financial set up is in ruins and whatever develop projects are going on are being funded by the Centre. But instead of being thankful to Modi, Captain and his party leaders keep criticizing NDA government to conceal their own failures.
Honey also said that Punjab is in financial crises but still the centre government was releasing funds for the border state to complete its roads projects and other central schemes. The Mandal Pradhans and local leaders from Amritsar (North) assembly segment took part in the meeting in large number as they also demanded thast Congress leader Jagdish Tytler should be immediately arrested and a separate FIR be registered against him in wake of the new video clip that has surfaced in which he is boasting of killing 100s of Siukhs in Delhi during 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
