BIBA JAI INDER KAUR REVIEWS ONGOING DEVELOPMENT WORKS IN PATIALA AT THE COST RS 361 CRORE
BATS FOR TIMELY COMPLETION OF THESE WORKS TO FACILITATE RESIDENTS OF THE ROYAL CITY
Patiala, March 24( Wishavwarta)-Biba Jai Inder Kaur today reviewed the ongoing development works in Patiala and asked the officers to ensure the completion of these works going at the cost Rs 361 crore within the stipulated time period.
Biba Jai Inder Kaur, along with Chairman PRTC Mr. KK Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Kumar Amit and Mayor Mr. Sanjiv Sharma Bittu, visited the sites where the works was going on and reviewed the pace of work. Describing these works as dream projects of the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and Lok Sabha MP Mrs. Preneet Kaur, she said that these works need to be completed as per the time schedule. Expressing satisfaction over the work, Biba Jai Inder Kaur said that people should face minimum inconvenience due to these ongoing works.
At the site of the new bus stand coming up at Rajpura road over a cost of Rs 60 crores, Biba Jai Inder Kaur said that this project must be dedicated to people by coming November 30th. She urged the Chairman PRTC to personally supervise the works so that this long pending demand of people must be fulfilled. Biba Jai Inder Kaur also supervised the work of beautification and modernization of the Chhoti and Badi Nadi worth Rs 208 Crore by visiting the RMC plant, where Chief Administrator PDA Ms. Surbhi Malik apprised her about the ongoing work.
Thereafter Biba Jai Inder Kaur reviewed the ongoing work at Rajindra lake being done at a cost of Rs 5 crore. She also visited the TB Hospital and monitored the ongoing work and asked the officers to ensure that the work of OPD and wards was completed by May 31st. Biba Jai Inder also visited the work sites of rejuvenation of the iconic Central State Library (1.5 Crore), Heritage street (43 Crore) from Hanuman Temple to Samania gate and others during which she gave her observations to the officers.
Biba Jai Inder Kaur also reviewed the important works being done by the Municipal Corporation Patiala at a cost of Rs 38.80 crore. These works include relining of Jacob drain, de-silting of covered drains, works at Rehri market, Dairy projects, road from Sheesh Mahal to Mohindra College, work of modernization and beautification of Rose garden, various development works in different wards, widening of ITI road, Remediation plant for disposal of solid waste and others.
On the occasion District (Urban) President Mr. KK Malhotra, Senior Deputy Mayor Mr. Yoginder Singh Yogi, Deputy Mayor Mr. Vinti Sangar and others were also present.
