*Chandigarh April 12( Wishavwarta)-Former Punjab Chief Minister S.Parkash Singh Badal today strongly condemned the attack on police personnel by a group posing as a members of a Nihang sect . it may be recalled that the Budha Dal Nihang Chief later described as incorrect reports which had identified the attackers with the ” Nihang” sect. The Nihang chief had also demanded strict action against those who had attacked the police force.
In a statement here, Mr Badal said that the members of the police and para military forces all over the country ” are performing an extremely difficult task at this time with exemplary courage , devotion and a spirit of selfless sacrifice. They are fighting the humanity’s war against a dangerous and invisible enemy much the same way as our brave soldiers fight to defend our borders. The police personnel are out there day and night, forgetting their own families, just to ensure that the invisible enemy does not win against us. They deserve our whole hearted support and not such ugly behaviour , especially at this hour,” he said.
Mr Badal appealed to the countrymen in general and the Punjabis and Sikhs all over the world in particular to continue to set an example in ideal conduct as responsbile and enlightened citizens. ” It is very heartening to see the Sikhs doing so all over the world, stepping forward not only to assist the government efforts but also to help the ppor and the needy, espcially in feeding the hungary through Langar seva..”
Mr Badal had words of high praise for the doctors, the nurses and other helthcare personnel , describing them as “humanity’s true heroes tody,” Mr Badal asked the people to extend full support and solidarity to the families of these “healthcare warriors” “Humanity owes a debt of gratitude to these brave doctors and their associates at every level for putting their own families below their selfless and noble duty and service to humanity. We will never be able to repay this debt but we must try to express it in some visible ways towars their families”, said Mr Badal.
Mr Badal appealed to the people to come forward to help in the community’s efforts to serve food to the hungary by organising Langar seva all over the world .
