Jakarta: Rahi Sarnobat claimed India’s second gold medal in shooting at the Asian Games 2018 as she won the top prize in Women’s 25m Pistol after two rounds of shoot-off on Wednesday. Manu Bhaker finished sixth.
Sarnobat shot an Asian Games record score of 34 and although Thailand’s Naphaswan Yangpaiboon provided tough challenge to the Indian shooter, she was able to clinch the title after two rounds of shoot-off.
Sarnobat is a veteran of the sport and the 27-year old won bronze in the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon. In the Commonwealth Games, she has won three medals till date – gold (2010, 2014) and silver (2010)
