Jalandhar: Additional Deputy Commissioner Jasbir Singh today chaired a preliminary meeting to make arrangements for the proposed visit of the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh in Nakodar on March 14.
Presiding over the meeting, the Additional Deputy Commissioner said that the Chief Minister was expected to preside over a function for disbursement of the debt waiver certificates to the farmers of the region in Nakodar. He said that the district administration would make elaborate arrangements for making this event a huge success. Jasbir Singh said that thousands of people would attend this event, due to which the district administration would leave no stone unturned for facilitating the people.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that a proper mechanism would be evolved to ensure that people do not face any sort in inconvenience. He said that right from traffic diversion, parking of vehicles and other facilities, all the arrangements would be made for this mega event. Jasbir Singh said that the duties of the officers would be soon earmarked for smooth conduct of the event. He asked the officers/ officials to make sure that their staff performs their duty diligently for smooth conduct of event.
