Chandigarh: The senior leadership of Aam Aadmi Party including co-president Dr. Balbir Singh, Zone presidents Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, Dr. Ravjot Singh, Dalbir Singh Dhillon, Gurdit Singh Sekhon, Youth wing president Manjinder Singh Sidhu, Women wing president Raj Lali Gill and trade wing president Neena Mittal have thanked the party MLAs to choose a hardworking person belonging to a poor dalit family Harpal Singh Cheema as leader of opposition in Punjab Vidhan Sabha.
In a statement issued from the party headquarters, the leaders said that by giving responsiblity to Harpal Singh Cheema the party has given representation to the unnoticed and unheard dalit people residing in the state.
The AAP leaders also accused Bains brothers of trying to break AAP in Punjab. The leaders said that while in alliance with AAP Bains brothers always betrayed the party and violated the terms of alliance. They said that even in the joint meetings of AAP and LIP, Bains brothers tried hard to make AAP MLAs join Lok Insaaf Party but AAP MLAs always rejected the perposal and asked then abstain from doing so. AAP leaders asked the party volunteers to stay alert of Bains brothers attempt to break AAP and work for the betterment of AAP in state.
