New Delhi, 12 October(Wishav Warta): India fast bowler Ashish Nehra confirmed that he will retire from international cricket after the opener of a three-match Twenty20 series against New Zealand on Nov. 1 at his home ground in Delhi.
Nehra during press interaction said on his retirement decision “It’s my own decision. Match on Nov 1 is in Delhi. There’s no bigger thing than to retire in your hometown”.
The 38-year-old also made it clear he won’t be playing in the IPL also. “If I have decided something, there is no going back. If I retire, I won’t even play the IPL,” he added.
The Delhi-native has collected 44 test, 157 one-day international and 34 Twenty20 wickets in his 18-year international career. Nehra also played for four teams in the Indian Premier League from 2012-16.
