Patiala/Nabha, November 7 (wishavwarta):-Punjab Minister for Forests, Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Mr. Sadhu Singh Dharamsot said that Punjab Government under the leadership of Captain Amarinder Singh had set a new record by improving the quality of school education in the state. He said that this was the reason why the enrollment of students in government schools in Punjab was 14.9 percent higher than other states.
During an online function organized by the Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh on the occasion of the launch of Mission ‘Shat Pratishat’ on completion of Punjabi Week through a web conference, Mr. Dharamsot dedicated Bhai Kahan Singh Nabha Government Senior Secondary School (Girls) of Nabha to the students after its conversion to smart school. On this occasion he also handed over the tablets to the teachers of the center school of village Gurditpura for imparting quality digital education to the pre-primary students of government schools.
In his address, Mr. Dharamsot said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh the goal of improving the education infrastructure in the state, recruiting new teachers and providing quality education without duplication was being achieved due to the hard work of the teachers. He said that the Punjab Government had taken a new initiative to make the schools smarter and to provide state-of-the-art gadgets to the pre-primary school students.
The Cabinet Minister while praising the hard work, dedication and courage of the teachers of the government schools also thanked them for the contribution made by the teachers for the education of the school children despite the COVID pandemic. He said that due to the hard work of the teachers the Mission ‘Shat-Pratishat’ would be successful and the future of the students would be given a new direction as there was a great need to take care of the children of poor and needy families studying in government schools.
Interacting to media,Mr. Sadhu Singh Dharamsot said that today 111 schools in Patiala district have been inaugurated after converting them to smart and 177 tablets have been distributed to 25 primary center schools. He said that due to the efforts of Captain Amarinder Singh led state government, the quality of education in the state has improved remarkably and as a result parents are enrolling their children in government schools more as compared to private schools.
Meanwhile, Chairman Improvement Trust Amardeep Khanna, SDM Kala Ram Kansal, District Education Officer Harinder Kaur, Principal Dr. Narinder Singh and teachers were also present.
