Chandigarh, 23 September(wishav Warta): The Former deputy chief minister and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal today expressed deep shock at the gruesome murder of senior journalist KJ Singh and his mother at Mohali.
Badal said the murder of KJ Singh and his mother Gurcharan Kaur was shocking. “The media has lost a leading light who was one of the senior most news editors of this region”. He said KJ had served in the Chandigarh edition of Indian Express for a long time during the course of which he mentored a number of journalists. “KJ also worked with the Chandigarh edition of Times of India and also The Tribune. I have fond memories of interacting with him. He was a most upright and professional journalist”.
Badal said a manhunt should be launched immediately to arrest the culprits. “We must bring the perpetrators of this ghastly crime to book as soon as possible”. The SAD president also expressed his deep condolences with the extended family of KJ Singh as well as the media fraternity.
