Ferozepur, December 07: State Election Commission(SEC) has today issued an order which allows candidate for filing nomination papers on the special date December 8, 2017, after investigating the complaints regarding not allowing Akali candidates to file nominations for the election for Malawala Nagar Panchayat of Ferozepur district. SEC gave one more day.
Disclosing this here today a spokesman of the State Election Commission said that the commission had received complaints from some places on the last day of the nominations. On which the State Election Commission had immediately stopped the election process for Malnawala Khas, Makhu of Ferozepur district, Baghapurana of Moga district and Ghanore of Patiala district till further orders. The Commission has conducted an inquiry into these complaints and after reading the inquiry reports, the magistrate, Ghanore and Baghapurana have been ordered to continue the election process.
The spokesman said that the separating the election process of Malanwala from the other election process in the state one day extended for filing nominations on December 8, 2017. The scrutiny of papers will be done on Monday, December 11, on Monday and voting will be done on Wednesday 20 December 2017 and counting will be held on same day.
