Dr. B.S Ghuman addressed Punjab Colleges in a webinar

Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA), Punjab Unaided Technical Institutions Association (PUTIA) & Punjab Unaided Degree Colleges Association (PUDCA) organized a webinar on Turning Challenge into Opportunity- Private Colleges of Punjab in Post COVID Era.
Vice Chancellor, Punjabi University, Patiala, Dr. B.S Ghuman was the Chief Guest; Dr. Ashish Baldi, Dean & Professor, Faculty of Pharmacy, MRS-PTU, Bathinda was the keynote speaker while Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, PUCA; Spokesman, Joint Action Committee (JAC) & Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh was the moderator. Sh. Ashwani Garg, Sh. Ashok Garg, Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, Sh. Davinder Pal Singh (Moga), S. Sukhmander Singh Chatha were the special invitees.
Dr. B.S Ghuman while motivating hundreds of Edupreneurs of Punjab said that if corona is a threat then we jointly have to convert it to an opportunity. To combat the situation we have to upgrade our existing model of education into an online mode of education.
Ghuman further stressed upon introducing short term skilled based courses which the students can opt and pursue online amid coronavirus from employment perspective. PUCA members also congratulated VC, Punjabi University on NIRF Rank.
Dr. Ashish Baldi said that colleges need to work on blended Learning programs, transforming education from Century old Chalk-Talk method to E-Learning methods, involvement of MOOC/SWAYAM/DIKSHA Portals, virtual classrooms etc.
Baldi further insisted on taking several precautions at campuses including daily screening at entry/exit, regulating the movement of outsiders, students stress counseling, Regular checkups, initial quarantine & isolation facility, Regular Disinfection with strict schedule, personalized Mask & Sanitization kits, Social distancing etc.
