Jalandhar, December 08: A North East student has been killed in Phagwara on Thruday night in a PG after a fight over loud noise. The deceased has been identified as BTech student of LPU Ashish resident of Shillong, Meghalya. This is the second incident after Delhi, in which the student of North Eastern Region has been targeted. Significantly, after the killing of a North East student in Delhi, there was a rumor and this topic was in the nation-wide discussion. According to the information received, in Shaheed Udham Singh Nagar of Phagwara late Thursday night, Ashish a North-East student, was murdered when he was celebrating his friend’s birthday party in his PG. It is being told that the youths who live in front of the PG murdered Ashish. The reason of the murder is being told that the youths were being irritated by the noise caused by the party and had fight with Ashish in which he was killed. The relatives of the deceased have informed by the police in Shillong.Police said, the student was a student of a local university and he was celebrating birthday party his friend Rishabh when he was killed. Police has registered a case and further investigation is going on.
