Sirsa, 29 August(Wishav Warta): Minutes before the announcing of quantum of sentence to Dera head Gurmeet Ram Rahim, a car was set on fire allegedly by his followers between Phulkan and Kotli villages of Sirsa district. However, no casualties have been reported in the incident.
Meanwhile, the Sirsa district administration on Monday said there are no plans to seal the Dera main complex situated in Sirsa. The announcement has come at a time when the state government has already locked down 36 Dera branches in Haryana. “The dera is not sealed and we have no such plans yet. We have, however, evacuated Shahi Basera, which is an orphanage inside the dera complex. Around 34 children, including girls, have been taken out and handed over to the programme officer intensive child development supervisor after their medical examination,” said Sirsa sub-divisional magistrate Paramjit Singh Chahal.
