Jalandhar, April 4 ( Wishavwarta)- The district administration on Saturday has established nine shelter homes for the migrants where the facilities of food, lodging and medical would be provided to them in the district.
Divulging the details, The Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma said that Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Capt Amarider Singh is committed for the welfare of the migrants in this hour of crisis.
He said that the district administration has made elaborate arrangements of food, lodging and medical services in the nine shelter homs for the migrants.
Mr Sharma said that those migrants who have not facilities of food and others, they can come in these shelter homes.
He told that shelter homes have been set up in Radha Swami Satsang Ghar at Lamba Pind Chowk, Khambra, Chauhar, Rehmanpur, Basti Danishmandan, Lohian, Shahkot, Nakodar and Goraya.
He said that besides availability of the essential items, nodal officers have been stationed there and a committee has also been formed for the effectively supervision.
He told that Assistant Commissioner Mr Randeep Singh, ALC Mr Baljeet Singh, DCP Mr Balkar Singh, SP Mr Ravinder Singh, DFSC Mr Narinder Singh and officials from other departments are the members of the committee.
