Himachal Pradesh assembly elections on 9 Nov, counting on 18 Dec

Chandigarh, 12 October(Wishav Warta): Election Commission announced the date for the assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh today. Chief Election Commissioner AK Jyoti said during the press conference that the polling in the state will be held on November 9. The counting of votes will be on December 18. In addition, the Model Code of Conduct has been implemented in Himachal. He said that all 68 seats would be up for the polling in the state. He said that VVPAT will be connected with all EVMs In Himachal Pradesh. Congress defeated BJP in 2012 In Himachal Pradesh. Polling will go to 7521 polling booths all over the State. He said that photo voter ID will be used in Himachal Pradesh assembly elections. He said that every candidate can spend Rs 28 lakhs during the campaign.
