Jalandhar(Parteek Singh): Giving a jolt to Leader of Opposition and AAP legislator from Bholath, Sukpal Singh Khaira Punjab and Haryana high court declined the plea to quash summoning order issued to him by Fazilka court in a drugs case. Politics of Bholath assembly has been heated as opposition parties asked Khaira to resign.
Former SGPC President and Akali Dal woman’s wing President, Bibi Jagir Kaur said the true face of Khaira has been revealed as the rejection to his plea shows his involvement in drugs. She said today high court gave its judgment on Khaira’s plea and dismissed his plea seeking cancellation of summoning order and the court has permitted to file the supplementary challan in 2015 drug case.
Bibi said Aam Aadmi Party contested assembly elections on the issue of drugs but now it is clear that their own leader is involved in drugs case. Khaira has always accused Akali leader over drugs and demanded resignation, now he should resign from the post on moral grounds. He is the kingpin of drugs in Punjab his close aide Gurdev Singh Deb ex-Chairman Market Committee, Dhilwan was convicted and sentenced 20 years imprisonment in the same case in which he is summoned.
He was booked under drugs case in 2015 in which 2 kg heroin and 24 gold biscuits were recovered by police. Bibi said Debi was his right hand that is why he recommended his name for the market committee chairmanship, even he funded election campaigns of Khaira with drug money. One more close aide of Khaira is Dara Mothada of Mothada, Phillaur who is wanted to police in a drug case related to Bhola drug racket. Bibi blames Khaira for getting funds from Dara and visiting him in Canada where he is hiding. She asked national convener of AAP, Arvind Kejriwal to expel Khaira from the membership of the party as his parties top agenda is fighting against drugs. Kejriwal has not given any statement on Khaira he must clear his stand, Bibi said.
She also slams Punjab government for not taking action against Khaira, she said why the government is not taking any action against him? he should be arrested and interrogated which will reveal many truths.
