Jalandhar: The family of the missing Punjabi woman seeks help of government to get her back after she shares location with them. a 21-year-old woman from Punjab’s Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, who they say is trapped in Saudi Arabia was stated missing by Ministry. Her family members approached external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday for help after they received her location on WhatsApp a few days ago. “Fully cognizant and working on it; she will return home soon @ajxtopcop (sic),” the Indian embassy in Riyadh tweeted after the family approached the minister and them. They said WhatsApp location of Reena Rani shows her in Unayzah City in Al Wusta district.
The 40-year-old Gurbaksh Kaur and her daughter Rani of Rahon town in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar were offered work in Malaysia and they paid Rs 5 lakh to the travel agent in August. But unfortunately they ended up working as domestic helps in Saudi Arabia, which she says were slave-like working conditions. A video was sent by Gurbaksh Kaur to her family last week in which she requested to be rescued, the case was highlighted by media after her family shared video on social media. She returned from Saudi Arabia on November 4 after Sushma Swaraj intervened in the matter. However, ministry failed to trace Rani. Both were duped by the agent and were fraudulently sent to Saudi Arabia by a Delhi agent.
