Panchkula, 13 October(Wishav Warta): Police remand of Honeypreet, adoted daughter of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim, is ending today. Honeypreet was first sent in 6 days police custody and later 3-day remand was received, which is now over. That’s why the police will present him today. During this, there is a possibility that the police will present evidence given during the investigation against her. At the same time, Dera Sirsa chairperson Vipassana has reached Panchkula police station on Friday. Honeypreet and Vipassana can be questioned here face-to-face.
Vipassana was called before but she did not appear citing health reasons. Tomorrow it was reported that she had an asthma attack, after which she was admitted to MSG Hospital. On the other hand, if the police does not get the remand of Honeypreet today, then she can be sent to judicial custody. However, the police has not been able to crack her down yet. Although many media reports said that Honeypreet’s laptop and mobile has been recovered but there is official confirmation.
It is for the first time that Vipassana will be questioned regarding the violence. She was earlier grilled by the Sirsa police in which the questioning was then limited to Honeypreet’s whereabouts. At least 35 people had died in the rioting and arson that followed conviction of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim in a 15-year-old rape case on August 25.
