Chief Minister paid tribute to Madan Lal Dhingra on his martyrdom day

Amritsar, 17 August: Punjab chief minister Capt. Amarinder Singh paid tribute to the great martyr Madan Lal Dhingra on his martyrdom day at Amritsar. He paid floral tribute to the freedom fighter whose statue is standing near Golden Temple. Madan Lal Dhingra was born in Amritsar While studying in England, he assassinated Sir William Hutt Curzon Wyllie, a British official, cited as one of the first acts of revolution in the Indian independence movement in the 20th century. Chief Minister was accompanied by Navjot Singh Sidhu and other Congress leaders.
