• 1947 raw food packets distributed
S. A. S. Nagar, March 29( Wishavwarta)-The Health and Family Welfare Minister, Punjab and Mohali MLA Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu with the active assistance of the District Administration, Municipal Corporation and the various Gurudwaras, NGOs and Dera Beas, is actively engaged in ensuring supply of raw food packets as well as the cooked meals to the people of urban areas of Mohali City besides also helping the rural area residents. He facility provision of cooked meals to about 27698 people and 1947 raw food packets were distributed. Besides, a truck full of dry ration was provided to organisations supporting the cause by cooking the meals.
The minister met the Deputy Commissioner in his office and worked out the road map to strengthen the supply chain for assured coverage of the needy. He personally supervised the distribution work at Sohana, Dera Beas, Bhagomajra and Mohali Village and reiterated that there would be no shortage of essential supplies to the people in their time of need.
The raw food packets contain 5 Kg Atta, 2 Kg Rice, 1 Kg Dal, 1 Litre Oil and 500 gms salt. The dry ration was also provided to the Gurudwaras where it was needed. The Gurudwaras in turn cooked the food which was provided to the needy people.
