Patiala, September 5 (wishavwarta):-Deputy Commissioner Mr. Kumar Amit today visited the camps organised by the Health Department at various places in Patiala city to collect samples of COVID and interacted with the residents and appealed to the people to cooperate with the teams of the Health Department. He said that the co-operation of the people was essential to win the war against Corona so there should be no hesitation in getting conduct the test but others should also be encouraged to take the test.
He was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mrs. Pooja Sial Grewal, SDM Patiala S. Charanjit Singh and Civil Surgeon Dr. Harish Malhotra.
The Deputy Commissioner while interacting with the residents of the area during the camps at Jagtar Nagar and Sanauri Gate appealed to them to cooperate and said that there was no need to panic in getting conduct the test of COVID but by taking the test one can protect oneself and one’s family. He said that the rumors or misinformation coming to them through social media or any other means should first be verified as true or false. He said that delay in tests could lead to loss of life for critically ill patients and it not only increased the risk of losing precious lives but a positive patient who did not get his test done on time could infect many others.
He said that even if a person tests positive after the test but does not have any symptoms of COVID and he has the facility to be quarantined in his home, so there is no need to worry.
Mr. Kumar Amit appealed to the people to get their tests done instead of believing any rumors and contribute for the success of Mission Fateh launched by the Punjab Government to make state COVID free.
