•64 COMPANIES PARTICIPATE IN JOB FAIR VIRTUALLY AND PHYSICALLY, 565 YOUTHS TAKE PART IN THE JOB FAIR
Jalandhar, September 4 (wishavwarta):- Due to the concerted efforts of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, 420 unemployed youth today got job placements during a Job Fair organized at the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprise Office.
Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that 565 unemployed youth took part. As many as 64 world acclaimed companies including Amazon, Havells Pvt Ltd. HDFC Life, Kalsi Metal, SBI Credit Cards, Swiggy, 9 to 5 Technologies, Paytm, Global Research Ltd, CSC and others had participated in the job fair physically and virtually mode during which 420 unemployed youth got placement.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the Job Melas were acting as a catalyst to transform the destiny of the youth. He said that the youth who have got jobs during the fair would become an active partner in the socio-economic growth of the state. He said that this was another milestone to channelize the unbounded energy of the youth of the state in a positive direction.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the job fairs were in fact a first of its kind initiative of the state government to provide livelihood to the unemployed youth of the state. He added that other four jobs fairs would be held on September 8 to September 11 and appealed the youths to participate in the job fairs.
Deputy Commissioner further said that the selection of the youth for jobs would be made purely on merit through a fair and transparent system.
He said these job fairs would pave for realizing the dream of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to provide job to every unemployed youth of the state. He said that the youth must avail maximum benefit of these job fairs, which would be instrumental in opening new avenues of employment for them.
