HEALTH DEPARTMENT TO CARRY OUT RANDOM RE-SAMPLINGS OF TESTS DONE BY PRIVATE LABS
SAMPLING OF PEOPLE WITH CO-MORBIDITIES IN CONTAIN AND MICRO-CONTAINMENT ZONES IN THE DISTRICT
Jalandhar, July 25 (wishavwarta):-Deputy Commissioner Mr Vishesh Sarangal said that district administration would conduct the surprise inspections of private labs which are carrying out Covid testing in Jalandhar to keep check on any kind of malpractices by them.
Presiding over a meeting with officials, Mr Sarangal said that the inspections would be carried out by SDM-II Mr Rahul Sindhu and Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr Jyoti Sharma and action would be taken against those labs which would be found overcharging.
He said that the health department has fixed Rs 2400 for the Covid test by private labs.
He said that if anyone find violation, he or she can complaint on control room number 0181-2224417.
Additional Deputy Commissioner further said that health department would also do random re-sampling of tests conducted by the private labs.
He also deputed Assistant Commissioner (GA) for mapping of the private ambulances and rate fixation. He said that Assistant Commissioner (GA) along with epidemiologist would also regular update data on ITIHAS App to keep check on the containment and micro-containment zones.
Mr Sarangal also said that the health department to ensure sampling of persons with co-morbidities and vulnerable population in containment and micro-containment zones to further combat the Corona Virus in an effective manner.
He also added that the private hospitals would also update the information of bed occupancy in the system for which they have also been login ids by the administration.
He said that needs to be ensured checking the spread of Covid 19 on one hand and for fast detection of people suffering from it on the other.
Additional Deputy Commissioner reiterated that district administration was fully equipped with resources and manpower to combat Covid 19 and no stone would be left unturned for this noble cause adding that war against Corona Virus would be won with support of people, who could contribute their share by confining them to home.
He also appealed the people to come forward for testing in Civil Hospital if they have flu symptoms or have met a Corona positive person in recent past.
