Ludhiana: Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday meets Namdhari sect chief Satguru Uday Singh to seek blessings at the sect’s headquarter at Bhaini Sahib, Ludhiana.
In a meeting during his stay which lasted about an hour, Captain assured the spiritual head of Namdharis of outcome soon in the murder case of Mata Chand Kaur, wife of late Satguru Jagjit Singh. She was gunned down by two motorcycle-borne in April 2015 at Bhaini Sahib. No headway could be made in the case so far with the accused still out of the police’s reach.
The visit was primarily a personal and the first one since Amarinder became the Chief Minister. During the meeting, it is learnt that Satguru Uday Singh blessed him for steering the state for the welfare of its people and his personal good health. He also wished a 10-year rule of Amarinder government for bringing the state back to prosperity. He asked the CM to generate as many jobs as possible for the youth of the state.
