Ahmedabad: The Congress in Gujarat has agreed to give quotas to Patidars in the state if it comes to power in the upcoming elections, said Hardik Patel, leader of the Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS), at a press conference in Ahmedabad on Tuesday.
“Congress has accepted our issues. They have agreed to give Patidars reservations,” said Patel.
He reiterated that PAAS hasn’t asked for any tickets and underlined that he himself will not contest from any party for the next two-and-a-half years or join any political party. The Patidar leader said that the Congress will bring in a bill to grant Patidars or Patels quotas if they come to power in the Assembly elections in Gujarat next month.
