Jalandhar, July 3 (wishavwarta)- Deputy Commissioner Mr Ghanshyam Thori directed the officials to ensure zero pendency of applications in the Sewa Kendras of the district.
Presiding over a meeting at District Administrative Complex today, Mr Thori said that Sewa Kendras were opened by the state government to facilitate the people and any sort of laxity on their parts would not be tolerated at any cost.
He told that Jalandhar has till today 0.13 percent pendency of applications in the Sewa Kendras and asked the officials to that the applications receiving in the Kendras must be settled in a time-bound manner without any inconvenience to the people and there must be zero pendency of applications there in future.
Mr Thori said that the Sewa Kendras must act as facilitating agency for the people coming for their routine administrative works.
He said that this could be ensured only if the pending files of people were cleared at the earliest He said that this would be in consonance with the basic spirit of the state government to provide citizen centric services to people at their doorsteps in a time bound manner.
DC said that zero-tolerance policy is being adopted against any sort of inordinate delay by the Sewa Kendras and stern action would be taken against management of Sewa Kendra.
He said that Sub divisional Magistrates (SDMs) have already been keeping a close vigil on the functioning of the Sewa Kendras.
On the occasion, SP (H) Mr Ravi Kumar, DSP (H) Mr Jaspreet Singh, District e-Goveranace Coordinator Mr Ranjit Singh, Local registrar MC Jalandhar Ms Madhu Bhardwaj and others were present.
