Chandigarh(Wishav Warta): Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has expressed profound grief over the demise of senior journalist Rakesh Sanghi of the Punjab Kesari Group of Newspapers.
Sanghi passed away at the age of 59 after prolonged illness here at PGIMER on Friday evening.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister described Sanghi as a professional par excellence, who always upheld the ethics of journalism, for which he worked with total dedication.
The Chief Minister extended his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family.
Media Advisor to Chief Minister Raveen Thukral also mourned Sanghi’s untimely death, describing him as a true professional as well as a fine human being. His loss will be felt not only by his family and friends but the entire journalistic community, said Thukral.
Sanghi was an eminent sports journalist and also an official scorer of BCCI. He covered the state of Haryana for over three decades and was also former President of the Haryana Assembly Press Gallery Committee.
