Chandigarh, 3 October(Wishav Warta): The Punjab Government has asked SC and OBC students to apply online for the Post Matric scholarship scheme till October 24, 2017. A spokesperson of welfare department informed that eligible students can apply online through website www.punjabscholarships.gov.in by using the link ‘Dr. Ambedkar scholarship’.
Giving more details, he said that educational institutions can upload the details from October 25 to November 10, 2017. Eligible students should have Aadhar Card before uploading the details and one student can apply for one institution only.
According to the spokesperson, the e-signature has been made mandatory for the educational institution to forward the applications and to accept it by the Sanctioning Authority. He said that the students are required to upload signed undertaking, scanned photo, caste certificate, income certificate or attested Income affidavits. On the other hand, the educational institution, while forwarding student’s applications, would upload signed undertaking also.
The spokesperson said that those SC students are eligible under the post matric scholarship scheme, whose parents have less than Rs 2.50 lakh annual income whereas annual income for OBCs is less than Rs. 1 lakh.
