Ludhiana: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh today unfurled the national flag on the 72nd Independence Day at Guru Nanak Stadium, Ludhiana. CM allocated Rs336 crore to the city for development works.
Speaking at the ceremony, Punjab CM said, ‘Special Investigation Teams will help school students to eliminate drug addiction.’
Chief Minister made the following announcements while addressing the gathering on Independence Day.
‘Punjab has the cheapest power in the country at Rupees 5 per units. Since last year there has been a 29 percent increase in employment in Punjab. Those who do not have a job will be given social security amount’ he added.
The CM also said, ‘Water problems in Ludhiana will be eradicated as I have allotted 336 crore to the city and 2 crore to the MLAs in Ludhiana for the development of the city. ‘
