Mohali: A meeting of the 14 Associations of unaided Educational Institutions, representing more than 1000 unaided colleges of Punjab held under the leadership of Chairman, JAC, Sh. Ashwani Sekhri.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, PUCA & Spokesman, JAC; Vice President, PUTIA, Dr. Manjit Singh; Sh. Anil Chopra, Confederation of Punjab Unaided Institutions; S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chancellor, CT University; S. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, President, Punjab Unaided Degree Colleges Association (PUDCA); S Rajinder Dhanoa, General Secretary, Polytechnic Association; S. Guninder Jawanda, Bhai Gurdas Group, Sangrur; Sh. Naresh Nagpal, Sri Sai Group, Pathankot; Sh. Vipin Sharma, Satyam Group; Sh. Sukhjinder Gill etc participated in the meeting.
In the meeting, complications arose due to the newly made policy on Post Matric Scholarship Scheme by the Centre Govt. were discussed.
Ashwani said that after the notification for SC students by Centre Govt. in April month, the future of 9 lac SC students of Punjab has been put on stake.
The committee has decided that the 14 associations would discuss on the situation with its member Colleges till 3rd June and would release their action plan and program on 4th June in a press conference to be organized in Chandigarh Press Club.
