Jalandhar: As part of SVEEP activities, Election commission of India has launched an e-learning portal titled LEAD (Learning in Electoral Awareness and Democracy) under SVEEP campaign to engage the various stakeholders in electoral process.
District electoral officer cum Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma said that LEAD has three specific target groups’ school students, teachers, general voters and election officials. The main objective to design and develop e-learning module for enabling people especially youth to learn about the election processes, rules, procedures and other related aspects besides to make people aware of the importance of the Elections & Democracy by enhancement of Electoral Literacy.
He said that E-learning module also provides the facilities to register as a user, Learn from various multimedia study material/resources available in the module, undertake test, Opportunity to earn Certificates, Provision of providing feedback.
Learning on Electoral Awareness and Democracy is an online/e-learning based system, which provides platform for interactive learning, study & assessment through online multimedia study materials and online test for different categories of users. Each and every process of this module has been made online.
