Jalandhar: The counter intelligence wing of Jalandhar and teams of district SBS Nagar jointly arrested 4 persons doing anti national activities on the name of “Referendum 2020”, they are backed by Pakistan based ISI.
wing again successfully foiled the attempts made by Pakistan based agency ISI to hurt the communal harmony of Punjab by creating law and order disturbance in Punjab. Cyber cell of Counter Intelligence wing of Punjab police keep a sharp eye on the anti-national activities going on social media these days, there they find Facebook pages on the name of “Referendum 2020” where lot of anti-India propaganda was going on
All the accused were held from a joint nakabandi at village Gunachur in the area of subdivision Banga of district SBS Nagar, they all belongs to village Khankhana of district SBS Nagar. Accused were identified as Manvir Singh, Jaspreet Singh, Sukhwinder Singh and Randhir Dhira of Khan khanaBanga SBS nagar.
On their preliminary interrogation, this module confessed to the latest Modus operandi adopted by ISI agency of Pakistan to capture youth of Punjab though social media.
Official said, ISI agents made a fake profile on name of a Sikh youth“Fateh Singh” on Facebook, who through an Indian domicile lady “Deep Kaur alias Kulvir Kaur” who is presently living in “Malaysia” actively participated on a social media created movement “Referendum 2020” to win over the young Punjabi youth, whom they can be used later on to create disturbance in Punjab.
Deep Kaur alais Kulbir Kaur win-over certain Punjabi young boys who are in their early twenties by giving them lucrative offers to earn good money if they work for her. She created a What’sApp group of these boys. When she convinced these boys to do unlawful activities then she introduced all of them to her leader “Fateh Singh” who further gave instructions to these boys to create panic among public of Punjab by putting wine shops, public transport buses etc. on fire and when they performed their assigned work, then they should put posters of referendum 20/20 on all these places so that they can get the attention of media, in first step this module start their operations in district SBS Nagar by putting posters of “Referendum 2020” on walls of various area of sub divisions Banga. But when they didn’t get any attention of public, then they extended their plan to put the wine shop on fire situated on Banga-Mukandpur road.When they assembled to complete the assigned task, they were yesterday nabbed at village Gunachur,by police.
During preliminary interrogation, these accused confessed that they have pasted Referendum 20-20 posters on 20/25 places at SBS Nagar in the last six months to create panic among public. Today they planned to burn off one wine shop on Banga Mukandpur road and wanted to get media attention by putting Referendum 20-20 posters on that shop, 10 litres diesel and other material related to this recovered from them . Their further planning is as they wanted to put some buses on fire also after this and shall put posters of 20/20 on those, again to get media attention. They also planned to disturb forthcoming Mohali IPL 20-20 cricket match by putting their Referendum 20-20 related posters there to get International media attention
Today police produced them before the Judicial Magistrate and get 4 days remand for further investigations
