Chandigarh: The Punjab Government will constitute a Cultural commission to take strict action against vulgar songs in Punjab. The government has issued instructions to take stringent action against the singers. Cabinet Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu announced this today. The commission will be headed by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and Sidhu will be vice-chairman. Sidhu said
Sidhu said that the commission would have the power to register an FIR against the defaulters on the issue of vulgar and anti -social culture.
The other members of the commission will be nominated in the due course and it will start functioning after two weeks, said Sidhu. Punjab Arts Council Chairman Surjit Patar have been asked to recommend the names of the members of the commission.
