Gurdaspur: Former Akali minister Sucha Singh Langah, who was accused of rape, extortion and cheating, appeared before the court in Gurdaspur on Monday after getting bail from the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
It is worth mentioning that Langah has been granted bail from Punjab and Haryana High Court last week, although the court had laid down many conditions before Langah for it. After receiving bail, Sucha Singh Langah cannot leave the country without the court’s permission. The court also said that Langah will not have any contact with any complainant in this case and any witnesses in the case.
He had been charged with rape, extortion, cheating, and criminal intimidation on September 29 last, and has been kept in Kapurthala jail after the woman had given police a video to corroborate her allegations. The woman had accused him of raping her several times since 2009.
