Chandigarh: Under the summer schedule a total of 32 flights would operate from the Chandigarh international airport from Monday. As per the schedule, which will remain in force till October 27, the maximum flights are for Delhi.The number of flights was expected to increase in the schedule with the watch hours having been extended from 4 pm to 5.30 pm.
MP Jindal, Air India, local station manager, said, “There is no change in the existing schedule.” Air India is operating six domestic flights to Pune, Leh, Delhi, Mumbai and Kullu, and two international flights to Bangkok and Sharjah. Jet Airways will operate eight flights, followed by IndiGo (7), GoAir (5) and SpiceJet (2). Vistara and Air Asia will have a flight each. The IndiGo flight (6E 253/255) to Bengaluru, which was earlier listed in the tentative schedule released last week, has been cancelled. GoAir postponed the operation of its two new flights announced last week. The Hyderabad-Chandigarh-Hyderabad flight (G8 942/943) would operate from April 30 while the flight connecting Ahmedabad, Chandigarh and Srinagar (G8 911/822/823) will operate from April 16.
