Attari: Hoping to meet external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj to seek her intervention in tracing the missing Pakistani national, Devsi Babu, his family members arrived here on Monday via Attari land border.
Kin of Devsi Babu including his wife Lalita Devsi, son Kanti Lal and brother Vitthal claimed that they wanted to come earlier but couldn’t get the visa and had to join a religious jatha to reach India to know the whereabouts of Devsi Babu.
“After a long and agonising wait we have finally reached here and now we are hopeful that Indian external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj will listen to our plea as she had always been helping several other persons in need,” said Lalita.
Devsi Babu, a resident of Karachi, was also part of 43 members Hindu jatha from Pakistan when he had gone missing in Amritsar on January 3rd, 2017. Lalita had lodged a complaint about her husband gone missing at police station Sultanwind on January 4th, 2017.
