Jalandhar: Secretary (Political) to Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Captain Sandeep Sandhu and Special Principal Secretary to Chief Minister (SPSCM) Gurkirat Kirpal Singh today held a detailed meeting with the officers of the district administration regarding the arrangements for proposed visit of the Chief Minister here on March 14.
Sandhu and Gurkirat Kirpal Singh said that no stone should be left unturned for making this important event a huge success. They said that as around 40,000 farmers from six districts of the state would be attending this mega event so elaborate arrangements have to be made for facilitating them. They said that the district administration must evolve a foolproof mechanism to ensure smooth flow of traffic besides making proper seating arrangements for them.
During the deliberations both Sandhu and Gurkirat Kirpal Singh minutely reviewed the arrangements being made by the district administration for this event. They said that whole hearted efforts must be made for smooth conduct of this event. They also had detailed interaction with the district administration regarding the arrangements and logistics made for the convenience of people.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma briefed both Sandhu and Gurkirat Kirpal Singh regarding the plan chalked out by the district administration for the event. He said that various committees headed by senior officers of the district administration have already been constituted for organizing this event in a smooth manner.
