Mohali: Special CBI court, Mohali on Saturday orders Enforcement Directorate(ED) to investigate foreign properties of 18 accused in Bhola drug case. Order as given by the court of CBI judge MS Gill today. Earlier ED had submitted a letter in the court seeking permission to investigate the foreign properties made by the 18 accused. Agency wants to know the involvement of drug money in foreign county by these accused. ED advocate Jagjit Singh Saron represented the case and Judge granted permission after strong argument made by him.
The 16 out of 18 accused are from Canada which includes Anoop Singh and his wife Rajit Kaur, Manpreet Singh alias Manni Gill, Daljeet Singh, Sukhraj Singh Kang, Nirankar Singh Dhillon, Lehmber Singh, Ranjit SinghAujla, Amarjit Singh Kooner, Tony Parmod Sharma, Satpreet Singh alias Satta, Pradip Singh Dhaliwal, Davinder Singh Narwal, Harminder Singh, Parminder Singh and Roy Bahadur Nirwal. The two accused Madan Lal and Kulwant Singh Kanti are from UK.
Now after getting the permission from the court ED will forward it to Jalandhar office were case will be prepared and it will be forwarded to the Delhi headquarter. Than it will be moved to Ministry of External Affairs, after getting the nod ministry will ask Canada and UK government to investigate the properties and involvement of drug money in these properties. Courts of both countries will investigate it.
