Aam Aadmi Party workers & leadership to join farmers’ stir sans party banner: Bhagwant Mann
Procurement on MSP only way out to address grievances of farming community
Chandigarh, November 22( Wishavwarta)-Making an emotional appeal to the workers of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to join the farmers’ stir in New Delhi against the black agricultural laws forced by the Union Government led by Narendra Modi, sans party flag, the President of Punjab unit of AAP and MP Sangrur, Bhagwant Mann today exhorted the party rank and file to stand up and be counted.
In a statement issued from the party headquarters here, Mr. Mann said that the farmers comprise the backbone of Punjab and without their untiring efforts the State cannot move forward in any sphere. He also made it clear that the AAP would rise above the party affiliations and stand shoulder to shoulder with the farmers in their hour of need.
The AAP leader also divulged that this is no time to stand and stare or just sit quietly on the sidelines especially when our farmers supported by their womenfolk are braving cold nights and staging road protests this fighting tooth and nail to save their lands. It is indeed tragic that the farming community which feeds the entire nation, is left to fend for itself by the deaf and dumb Union Government besides Captain Amarinder Singh too who has also left the farmers in the lurch and is enjoying kingly pleasures, said Bhagwant Mann. He also added that the Aam Aadmi Party is already out in the open to voice the concern over the just demands of the farmers and would not be content until the concerns of the farmers are properly addressed.
Mr. Mann also categorically made it clear that the workers of Aam Aadmi Party would join the farmers protests with the sole intention of supporting the farming community in its just cause. Adding more, he said that the workers would assemble from each village and locality would join farmers’ gherao of Delhi on November 26 and 27.
Touching a sentimental chord, AAP leader while beseeching the party workers as well as the leaders, said that farmers occupy the priority slot for us and as per the present circumstances it is our duty first and foremost as fellow Punjabis to participate in the protest movement in maximum so as to make the anti people governments bow down before the people’s movement.
