SADHU SINGH DHARMSOT GREETS PEOPLE ON DIWALI AND BANDI CHHOR DIWAS
CHANDIGARH, NOVEMBER 13 (wishavwarta):- Social Justice, Empowerment & Minorities Minister of Punjab Mr. Sadhu Singh Dharamsot today extended his warm greetings to all the Punjabis living in the country as well as the members of the diaspora settled abroad on the holy eve of Diwali as well as Bandi Chhor Diwas.
Giving his greetings, he said that the festive occasion of diwali signifies that irrespective of the hardships one may face in life but in the end the power of truth and righteousness alone prevails over the evil and truth alone stands out. He further said that the festival also is an occasion to imbibe the moral values, communal harmony, spreading the message of peace, compassion and amity all across the entire universe.
Mr. Dharmsot further said that the occasion of Bandi Chhor Diwas occupies an important place in the history of mankind as it was on this day that the 6th Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji Maharaj and the 52 Kings were released from the Gwalior Fort from the captivity of Emperor Jahangir.
