SAS Nagar, November 13 (satish kumar puppy):-An explosion took place at Rama Dhaba in village Sarseni, Tehsil Derabassi on the main GT Road.
It is suspected that the blast took place during theft of oil from an oil vehicle.
Three persons including the owner, Sh. Jaswinder Singh, Bablu and Vikram died in the incident. The deceased aged around 35, 20 and 24 years respectively.
Another person suffered more than 80% burns and remains critically ill and is under treatment at PGI, Chandigarh. The driver of the oil tanker is also reported to have suffered burn injuries.
Aashika Jain, Additional District Magistrate (ADM) and Kuldeep Bawa, SDM reached the spot along with the SSP, Sh. Satinder Singh. Given that the building had developed cracks, evaluation of the structural safety has been directed.
Further, inspections shall be carried out at all Dhabas in the area to check the illegal activity of oil theft,by joint teams of police and civil officers.
SDM has been ordered to conduct an enquiry into the incident.
Strict criminal action shall be taken against those found violating the law, asserted ADM.
