London: Jordan Clark flourished on day one of the Roses match by dismissing three of the world’s best batsmen to claim a famous hat-trick and put Lancashire on top against fierce rivals Yorkshire.
New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson was also trapped in front first ball and Jonny Bairstow edged the final delivery of Clark’s incredible over to Jos Buttler at third slip to leave Yorkshire reeling at Old Trafford.
Clark’s hat-trick was Lancashire’s first in a Roses encounter since Ken Higgs achieved that feat at Headingley way back in 1968.
