DC ASKS 57 EMPANELLED HOSPITALS UNDER AB-SSBY TO DEDICATE REQUISITE BEDS FOR PATIENTS INFECTED WITH CORONAVIRUS
JALANDHAR, JULY 14 (wishavwarta):- In a bid to tackle the increasing number of COVID-19 far more efficaciously, the District Administration on Tuesday urged the private hospitals in district to work shoulder to shoulder with Government in treating patients of coronavirus.
Disclosing this here today, the Deputy Commissioner Mr Ghanshyam Thori said that the District Administration had decided to bring the private hospitals on board soon for the treatment of patients infected from Coronavirus.
He said that as many as 57 private hospitals empanelled under Ayushmaan Bharat- Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna in the district had been asked to share the details of bed capacity/availability to provide best possible care to the COVID-19 patients.
He said that these hospitals had also been asked to provide complete details of bed equipped with piped oxygen supply and ventilators so that these could be utilized to ensure best treatment in critical cases.
Giving details of rates to be charged by the private hospitals, Thori said that the State Government was in process of finalization of rates, which could be fixed within two-three days besides the rates of Government to be given to private hospitals on referring of patients.
The Deputy Commissioner Mr Ghanshyam Thori on Tuesday chaired a meeting with Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Mr Vishesh Sarangal along with SDM-1 Dr Jai Inder Singh and DMC Dr Jyoti for ensuring coordination and mapping of these empanelled hospitals in the district.
Mr Thori said that the Jalandhar has around 57 private hospitals empanelled under Ayushmaan Bharat- Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna in the Jalandhar and their services would be utilised for treatment of level 2 and level-3 patients in coming days.
The Deputy Commissioner said that presently, Covid Care Centre in Government Meritorious School acts as level-1 facility and Civil Hospital takes level-2 and level-3 patients in the government sector and IMA hospital at Shahkot-Moga road is lone private facility centre in the district.
However, Deputy Commissioner said that the situation was totally under control in the district and people must come forward for the testing so that the timely detection and treatment could be ensured to contain the spread of further the Covid-19 pandemic.
He said that the district administration was fully geared up to meet any sort of contingency. Mr Thori said that in this combat against the hidden enemy the district administration would leave no stone unturned and every effort would be made to impart quality treatment to them.
