Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday criticised Congress MLA from Gidderbaha Amarinder Singh Raja Warring for his statement regarding drugs during a poll speech at Peeliya Banga in Rajasthan.
In a press statement issued from AAP headquarters, AAP youth wing incharge MLA Meet Hayer and president Manjinder Singh Sidhu said that the statement of Wirring exposes the real face of Capt. govt regarding drug control in state. They said that it seems that drugs including liquor is being sold in the state without any hesitation.
Hayer said that the unemployed youth of Punjab is falling in drug trap and Congress leaders rather than finding solution of it are indulging in making fun of the helpless youth. The statement of Wairring symbolises lawlessness in Punjab under Capt. Amarinder Singh Congress leaders can do anything even if it is illegal.
Commenting on the statement given by Warring about the officers of Punjab, Sidhu said that this was an attempt of lowering the morale of officers who are working for the welfare of people. He said that govt. in state has collapsed and people have no hopes left from Capt. Amarinder Singh. He said that the people are waiting for pre-poll promises to be fulfilled. He demanded that Wairring must apologise to whole Punjabis for making mockery of them.
Appealing election commission to take suo moto notice of statement regarding luring the voters with liquor, AAP leaders said that the candidature of the candidate must be rejected and Wairring must be banned to hold rallies in elections.
