Chandigarh: The Cooperation Department, Punjab, would observe the ‘Cooperative Week’ from 14th-20thNovember. The inauguration would be done on 14th November at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. On the occasion, the Cooperation Minister, Punjab, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and his counterpart from Maharashtra Subhash G. Deshmukh would be the chief guests. This was disclosed here today in a press communiqué by the Chairman Markfed Amarjit Singh Samra and MD Markfed Varun Roojam.
The representatives from the primary cooperative societies of all the districts of the state as well as the representatives of the marketing societies would participate in the week and the leading cooperative society of each district and prominent marketing society of each division would be honoured on the occasion. During the inauguration, Additional Chief Secretary, Development and Cooperation, Viswajeet Khanna and the Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Punjab, Vikas Garg would also be present.
The Additional Managing Director, Markfed, Bal Mukand Sharma divulged that as per the agreement inked between Hindustan Petroleum and Markfed, the joint brands of HP-Markfed- Oil and Grease would be unveiled in the market.
